Lauren, Why do you do this?
This process is scary, yes. But it is also exciting.
I have found that my method of tackling the college planning monster provides opportunities for family members to:
- work together on a project
- talk about their dreams for the student
- learn about the student's aspirations
- reflect upon the challenges they have all overcome
- highlight the student's accomplishments
- talk about the education and career choices they made
- confidently move forward into a new chapter
Witnessing and facilitating these moments has been such a gift.
So the real question is, why wouldn't I want to do this?
